Ordering information:
The joy of ordering with Walnut Books (apart from the great selection of books!) is that behind our website are real live people so you can expect a friendly, personal and efficient service. We will do our best to get your books to you as quickly as possible and you can always contact us at any stage of the ordering process if you have any queries or concerns.

We have a fully secure server so ordering on our website is completely safe and fairly foolproof. If you would rather not order online please feel free to email or call us and we will be happy to arrange your order in person.

We have four options for payment:

1. Paypal
2. By Visa or Mastercard (via secure server) (We cannot accept American Express)
3. You also have the option to phone in your card details rather than entering them online (just check the 'phone in your credit card' box when ordering)
4. Or you can send us a cheque or bankdraft (again, check the 'phone in your card' box and either include a note with your order, or just email or call us directly.

When you place your order we will get back to you within 24 hours to let you know when you can expect your books. Obviously this depends on where you are and whether the book is in stock, but rest assured we will do all we can to get your order to you as fast as possible and the average order takes between two days and two weeks to arrive at your door. Because some of our books are quite special and come from very small suppliers it can sometimes take a little longer and if there is likely to be any delay we will let you know before we take payment so you can decide whether you are happy to wait or not. If you need a book for a special occasion do let us know and we will do our best to get it there in time. When you place an order on our website using your credit card you will not be charged until we get back to you and confirm when you can expect your books.

Sending books to a third party is very straightforward, just enter your own address as the 'billing address' and your friend's as the 'shipping address'. If you want to send books to a friend for a special occasion (birthdays, christmas, weddings etc) do let us know and we will be happy to include a little handwritten card with your greeting at no extra charge.

Refunds etc
We understand that sometimes the book you get is not quite what you thought it would be so if you are unhappy with your books for any reason we will be happy to replace or refund them in full provided they are returned in good condition within 30 days. Should you change your mind about a book you have ordered online just email or call us and we will cancel your order with no charge and no stress!

Shipping Costs and Postage info:
We ship to all destinations worldwide and offer very competitive postage rates compared with bigger online bookstores. We use the Irish postal service so you can expect to pay standard post office rates (see below) with no extra handling fees, and delivery times are pretty efficient. When you place your order online the website estimates the shipping cost based on the number of books ordered and destination, and we find the average rate for postage on most orders is between 3.50 and 7.50 Euro. This is generally fairly accurate but actual cost can sometimes vary depending on the number and weight of books ordered and their destination, so if the actual postage cost is slightly less or more we will adjust to give you the lowest possible rate, and will always confirm postage cost with you before taking payment. If you want to order a book but would prefer not to do so online just email or call us and we will give you the total price including postage.
